Statement of Accessibility

As part of our commitment to accessibility, we have had our product “BIC Process Design” tested by an external agency in accordance with the requirements of the EN 301 549 and WCAG 2.1 standards. The test was performed on software version 7.10.0 with the new product user interface. The independent test report dated August 23rd, 2023 indicates that we meet the accessibility requirements in many areas, but also points out that the product is currently not equally accessible to all user groups and that improvements are warranted.

We are committed to continuously improving the accessibility of our product software to provide an equitable user experience for all users. We are working to remove identified barriers and ensure that our products are accessible and usable by all people. We welcome feedback and input about barriers.

Current Status of Accessibility

The accessibility requirements are based on §§ 3 Paragraphs 1 to 4 and 4 of the BITV 2.0, which was enacted on the basis of § 12d BGG.

The assessment of compliance with the requirements is based on an evaluation conducted by Materna Information & Communications SE in August 2023 in accordance with legal requirements and global standards (EN 301 549, BITV 2.0).

The product is not fully accessible in all areas. We are actively working to remove identified barriers through technical revisions. In particular, the following areas have been identified (as of 23/08/2023):

  • Not all controls are clearly indicated by a recognizable focus highlight or the focus highlight has insufficient contrast.

  • The consistent use of language attributes is not consistently correct implemented.

  • Mandatory fields are not identifiable as such for all form fields.

  • In the main navigation, individual list items are not integrated as such.

  • Some controls and modal windows lack clear or any text alternatives.

  • The current state is not announced in collapsible sections.

  • Interactive graphics are not fully operable with a keyboards and screen reader, as certain content areas cannot be filtered or operated.

  • For controls indicating that content is filtered based on certain criteria, this information is not provided for screen reader users.

  • Text overlaps occur when adjusting text sizes and spacing.

Creation of this Statement of Accessibility
